The fire is there,

In the welcome of births,

In the ushering of festivals,

In the daily respects to God,

In the wedding rites,

In the funeral pyre,

It is also there,

In the force that sustains me,

In the food that is cooked over it,

By the hands that serve me,

By the heart that loves me,

By the mother that gave birth to me,

The fire is within me
