The day I lost you!

You were the true definition of bliss,

A true sense of unhinged love!

You kissed my soul with joy on your lips,

And hugged my days with liberty in your arms!

You filled me with a thousand dreams,

and hundreds of laughs!

 

But,

The day I lost you in the wheel of life,

was the one I could never shut out!

You abandoned me in the blink of an eye,

You took away all my bliss and all my pride!

Days spent with you,

Are the memories I adore!

This life without you haunts my soul!

And this lonesomeness drives my heart!

You have never asked,

But my soul avows,

As no more it can stand,

the fire burning its core!

Yes, my younger soul,

I miss you so much and will always do!

As you were the best version,

Of this mature living soul!

This poem delineates my affection towards my childhood, and I think we all someday realize that those were the best days!
