The Apology
The Apology

It kills me to say,
That we will never stand again on the shore of the bay,
Walking down the memory lane,
And becoming the innocent ones that we were again.
Friendship is an incurable disease,
Time will decide how fast should it spread,
But a miraculous disease it is, that first it relieves you with ease,
For saving the other you might be dead.
Time is unpredictable for that matter,
And you might never know how many tears you have shed,
To laugh at your gloomy face the world would have gathered,
The only re
lief would be your tears, your pillow and your bed.
For some, friendship would be one of the most beautiful journeys,
The world again would have gathered to see the two standing up for each other,
Time would take them through one of the most adventurous journeys,
But the bond would be exceptionally strong for time to break them rather.
Thousand apologies might not be enough for you,
But maybe this poem would be,
Because the world is one that loots you,
And in this cruel land, the support for me is you and for you, maybe, me.
