Tender Age
Tender Age
As a child I learnt nothing
I only experienced without ever figuring out why so, what so like truly living.
It’s when I grew up experiences started teaching me
Incidents got into instincts and
Memories became my mentor
I survived.
I’m alive; reliving each day with flashbacks and hope
In every child, curiosity keeps craving until
Society embarks its shade upon
That kid of relentless and unbounded desires learns then, to walk with it’s pressure and pace.
As a child you can have all you want
Rigidness and throwing tantrums won’t make you judged
No mistake is a mistake of a child
Later one day you realize,
You are no longer a child.
Sing me a lullaby to sleep
So I don’t have to listen sad songs till I fall asleep …
When I’m awake play a little with me or take me to park
Before I go back in self analysis again.
A reason to live
A purpose to fulfill
A goal to achieve
A dream to bring into reality
It’s all right to have but
Bring me that eagerness to know everything
That inquisitiveness instead of anxiety
Let me have my notoriety and spark of innocence.
