Stubborn Love
Stubborn Love
Her chipmunk cheeks full,
Her little nose all red,
Her eyebrows turned cruel
Saying ‘I won’t go to bed’.
Complaining how I came to meet
After three long wailing weeks,
So, now she won’t let me leave.
That’s how her love speaks.
Her lips protruding out in dismay
Make me squeeze her in my chest,
And bless her heart and say,
That I will always be her nest.
And though her little fists
May not have much grip,
Her body’s full of the will
To never let me slip.
Oh! How I will dearly miss,
Her shrieks of laughing glee.
Five years cute my sister is,
My first kid she will be.
One true love that is,
That wants no jewels nor crown.
Oh! How pure her stubborn love!
That just wants me around.
