Star Gazer
Star Gazer
At night, I lay, gazing at the stars.
I watch them close, yet so far.
They twinkle and shine, illuminating the night.
Never had I ever seen a light so bright!
They glow and shimmer, for all to see.
Giving me hopes for what I could be.
The cool breeze settles in, blowing sweet scents.
Oh! Tulips, marigolds! Are that roses I smell?
The moon is a crescent claiming the world.
This all can be changed with just one word.
This certain action involves counting sheep.
That one special word is ...
SLEEP!
