Soldier
Soldier
We are told that you save us.
But save us from whom?
Do you save us from tigers
Or impending doom?
You stand on the border under the same blue sky.
People were divided in the name of race or tribe.
You save us from perpetrators,
Who harm our rights.
That's great, but do you know, 'What's your right?'
With your brothers you are made to fight
For the money that you get paid.
Soldier, do you really know,'What is right?'
A criminal is not a born criminal.
A perpetrator is not a born whimsical.
They don't solve it in the beginning
By giving solution, quite rational.
Soldier, do you know they have money for war?
But they don't have money for poor!
I know you saw that with your own eyes.
But you will not say it for sure.
I know your tragedy - you miss your family.
You stay far away from home.
At remote places where
No light is shown.
So, I salute you soldier
'cause I know you are brave.
I salute you 'cause you save us
From flood, rain and earth-quake.
Soldier, you are needed here.
But not for them.
You are needed here for
Society's betterment.
It's a fashion to sing songs -
All good for you.
But I know you are a human too
With a massive view.
