Soldier - A Human Being
Soldier - A Human Being
With the sun I do boil,
My bed is the mother soil,
I sleep on my grave,
As you people say,
I am called 'The Soldier' brave.
Hands are cold of those,
That had once fed,
I know mom,
You hope to see me alive,
But not dead.
Wounds and pains though,
Take me on a ride,
I serve the nation,
With all love and pride.
I am born to fight,
Guard all day or night,
I wish someone would ask me,
Hey buddy! Are you alright?
I too have someone to care,
Also, have someone to love,
Tears roll down when,
My little one asks me,
"Dad will you come to see me now?".
I am strong and tall,
Will getup even if I fall,
But I too have a heart within,
After all I am a human being.
