Smiling Stars - My Childhood Friends
Smiling Stars - My Childhood Friends
How big the world is?
Can you tell me this?
How small the stars look
But huge they are in fact
Says the book
At night the stars are automatically lit
How strange it is, isn't it?
When from the bed rises the Sun
The stars go to sleep one by one!
My Daddy says the stars are countless
But they can't be more than a thousand
Is what i really guess!
My sister had once said
When heart beat stops man is dead
Likewise a logic strikes
The twinkling of the stars
Is beating of their hearts
Indicating that they are all alive!
My mom says after people die
they become stars
and its a certain law of nature!
Then why do people fear to die
When life on sky
would be a real adventure!
When i happen to die
I will carry with me
Everything needed to play cricket
The ball, the bat, the pad, and the wicket
It you wish to come
You are most welcome!
You see that star just at the end
Looks like my best friend
Who left me alone back two years
Only to feel lonely and shed tears!
We would gather others and play cricket
They would set and we wud chase the target
Above the big clouds the stars stay
So rains wud no more delay the play!
We wont play during the day
But at night under the white moonlight
A life free from study
What a wonderful thought
Only I would miss
Maths a lot!
