Simpleness Of Life
Simpleness Of Life
The rush of life
Got exhausted,
Breath couldn't gallop
For false success,
Feet followed the
Path to residential place.
People not suave
Yet so original ushered
To my home.
Serving the plate
Of simple
Yet delicious food,
Mother pointed
Towards her
Would be daughter-in-law
Whom my adamant
And modern mind
I had rejected earlier.
As the curtain of pride
Had dropped itself,
I could see
The simpleness of life.
Holding the hand
Of my would-be wife,
I whispered
'oh! The friend of my childhood,
Forgive me
For neglecting
My duties for you'.
The unruly breeze
Tousled my hair,
The bell of the temple
Of village again chimed
For the auspicious evening.
