She
She
Mellifluous voice croons
Near my window
In the wee hours
And I return from the land of nod.
My droopy eyes become
Wide open to see her so near.
As silence plays gooseberry,
She tousles my hair and
Moistens my chapped lips.
As I submit my soul
For garnering her love,
The villainous sun peeps
And she vanishes
Quenching my thirst.
