Who is important a mentor or a friend?

A true friend is there on whom you can rely upon.

Then why do we need a mentor?

A mentor helps us to navigate through the challenges that we encounter.

He has a stern eye, in the attire of a gurdian angel.

We put him in an alter,

As we never falter.

The status that he earns for his unconditional affection towards us. 

The disciple that we become, as we bow with such reverence.

For his sublime presence.

With his precious guidance.

He gives the direction.

We follow with perfection

We are outstanding in our chosen fields

As we have gained fruitful yields.

Let's not defy the words of caution made by our mentors.

To lead the path of genuine victors.
