Seasons of love

Seasons of love

I write of summer's wind,

Rustling up faded memories,

Of fooling around in the backyard,

Playing hide and seek.

I write of winter's snow,

Freezing the broken shards,

Of long years of unrequited love,

Dwelling in a young girl's heart.

I write of spring's bloom,

Christening of newly found love,

Encased by vows and promises,

Of togetherness till eternity.

I write of rainy breakdown,

Of carefully painted canvas,

As colors get smudged, Just like kajal of her eyes.

I write of autumn's loss,

Of leaves and loved ones,

Flown away by a gush of wind,

Or is it insecurities that drew them apart.
