Rebirth

The young girl in me,

saw people grow right from their deaths.

Life seemed like a perfectly running cycle,

that went round and round. 

With nothing to hold back and not a thing to stop,

people would just keep going.

In their own bodies,

in different souls,

in different creatures.

It's like you could never really rest,

much less in peace.

A part of me enjoyed this process. 

The never-tiring energetic succession,

that I jokingly called 'resurrection'.

As I grew up that little girl grew tired.

Not having the enthusiasm to get through

her own monotonous life,

much less that after her revival.

I still know that little girl is somewhere inside of me,

hoping to see flowers bloom out of graves 

and the the sequence of life make waves.
