Used to describe an impulsive urge to buy things

When we hear the name

We think about it as a syndrome

We even frown about it

We tell ourselves that have the self-control to resist the urge

However, there is Onimania behaviour in all of us

An uncontrollable desire to buy things

Sometimes we feel so empty

Not in our bags

But in our hands

We try all sorts of things to feel alive

To find the motivation to live

To find the strength to breathe

And that’s when the feeling kicks in

We binge on a shopping spree

To help us feel better

To pause and give us a break

To help us keep fighting
