Old School Love

In midst of this chaos

Scrolling through my feed

I suddenly stop right there

And see your picture

Which now has a grown man in it

And more mature face

Back down to memory lane,

I walk with books in my hand

Through school corridors

And I wait near the water cooler

To slide my book with you

So when the teacher calls out our name

We go to her desk together

And exchange sly smiles//

Down to memory lane,

In mid-recess and games periods

We used to take our places

Which were exactly opposite to each other

Without any sight interruption

We see each other

After every meal fight and

After every volleyball ball

You glance at me, and I smile at you//

Back to reality

I see us not talking anymore

But yet I smile still

And I guess you stare too,

We never had handshakes

Neither did hugs or kisses

But our books were together

And our hearts were blushing

Our glances did everything in us

And maybe

Maybe when we meet again

We will still be the same

In midst of this chaotic world.
