Oh! My Poetry

A drug that keeps me awake, 

Brings euphoria in me, 

So hard from it is, to stay away,

It is my dearest poetry. 

Rhythm in my soul 

That makes me feel alive, 

To which I sway in delight 

It is my soulful poetry. 

Sound of my beat 

That echoes in my mind 

Which ticks with my heartbeat 

It is my lively poetry.

Whispers of a caged soul 

That dwells in a distressed mind 

Brings fire in my heart as words 

Is my uncomplaining poetry.

Addicted I am,

To feel things deeply, 

I breathe in words 

And exhale poetry.
