My Very Own Hourglass
My Very Own Hourglass
Some say it is nothing but a farce,
Measure time? I think I'll pass...,
With what conviction can sand and gravity,
Assure accuracy with absolute certainty.
To me, it's far more than a timepiece you see,
Symbolizing things far greater than I foresee,
Often tugging on my elusive sanity,
Gently triggering my sense of uncertainty.
Time and again we are reminded,
Be optimistic and know where you're headed,
Unlike the hourglass which can't be calibrated,
Our time on earth needs to be celebrated!
