Mumbai is the city of me, you, we and all

Of Ram, Rahim, Balbir, Jamshed and Paul.

From the streets of Fountain to the Reactors at Trombay

Mumbai was also formerly known as Bombay.

Many come here with a dream

To earn their bread - butter and cream.

Life here is short of hours,

Living together are slums and imported cars.

It has the Bollywood stars and the Shopping malls

It has people dancing to midnight calls.

It is the country's economic core

Life here comes to a standstill with a heavy pour.

From the Mafia gangs to Cricket,

From Fashion street to the fishing net,

From Share bazaar to a Filmcity set,

This city seems to say " Come and Get."

From the pani-poori to the Bombay - duck dried,

From the Taj Hotel to the Gateway tide,

From the pau - wada to the chinese fried,

MUMBAI is certainly the nation's PRIDE.
