Mirror's Beloved
Mirror's Beloved
A mirror sings triumph, truth, and tragedy
A lover's pride for his beloved's vanity.
For the scars and moles that cannot be hidden.
Hideous sins that are universally forbidden.
They say it reflects the eternal truth of universe
Stands still and Unchallenged like a biblical verse.
But who does the mirror himself confide
Is it the sun, the clouds or someone under the moonlight.
For the one whose entity is blatant and explicit
Never longed to belittle someone or indulge in complicit.
It has to be someone as complacent as him.
Deep yet shallow, parts dark parts dim
For its not easy to company someone who never lies,
We all ask for the truth but it's a throbbing way to die.
For his eyes reflects the mirror and the mirror reflects his,
Penances that are due and regret's big kiss
Not a man they say has ever here lived,
Spared from the drudgery of inflicting pain in hearts, it has been shriven.
Mirror says to it's beloved ' there's nothing I can give but there something I ensure',
Lover's as they call them are delusional and impure.
A thousand faces that I have witnessed through time,
Yours is my salvation and my only rhyme.
I was made to speak the truth and to that I shall oblige,
You are my beloved and there's nothing to hide.
