Mid-Summer Chronicles

Mid-Summer Chronicles

Around the corner when spring leaves and summer peeps in, I cherish the evening breeze, I fall for the aureate sun. The desires of having ice creams are on the rise and the cold drink's thirst roars. Summers always brought buckets of joy, starting from long summer breaks to tedious holiday Homeworks, from adventurous vacations in anomalous cities to cousins annual meet up at granny's place, summers have all the facets that can instill exuberance. I love summers, for they have evolved me into an avid reader, Shakespearean plays, The Famous Five and Hardy Boys, were all mid-summer joys. Today as I stand on the crossroads of adolescence and gaze back at my childhood, I see the train of jocund memories pass by. As I retrospect the days forgone, bearly willing to accept that, those memories and the glee associated are bygone. I yearn for the moments of childish ecstasy, which shall just remain as a souvenir of summers Or probably as scars of aging engraved by the ravages of time.
