Manipulation Is Not The Answer

Do you know someone who can not seem to let go?

Or who feels entitled to your privacy?

Does it feel like an answer they expect you to know,

Do you never seem to see?

Everyone has expectations; but while that's true,

Do remember that those ideals may not always be met,

Yes in each person's case, we must do all we're able to,

But that doesn't mean you have the right to always make them regret

Consistency is important if the order is what you seek,

However a deviation here or there,

Shouldn't affect the benefits you reap,

Others should not be ridiculed because they don't always share

It's when someone's actions raise a red flag

That you'll have earned a right,

Willful ignorance of those signs can be seen as bad,

Because unforeseen consequences may come to light. 

But when it comes to those smaller things,

Remember everyone should have their say

They shouldn't see you as a puppeteer always attached to your strings,

Afraid they'll be punished because they don't see things your way,
