Love

Love

I wonder whether Love is a two faced mirror

Magic on one side, and Love on the other.

Both take parallel roads, down the desert of desire,

Following the bottom line of a mirage to meet nowhere.

I have seen Love, like the ocean sees the moon,

A far-fetched dream, the shadow of which it owns.

Beauty is the namesake of the sinking moon,

A hallowed love, and a drunken noon

For all the mortals bewitched by love,

Are seeking magic far from the brooding dove.

The beauty of it lies in its elusiveness,

Which can't be touched through all our senses.

I always wonder why I stay on the ground,

When I can fly up and touch the cloud.

Then only I come to know why I live,

Yet fail to love every time I seek.
