Loud Whispers

"You are a lonely being"

She heard a voice say.

Perplexed, she scanned nearby.

"Don't look around"

Said the voice.

"Seek within

And reckon yourself.

"You are a phony self

Living a delusion

And surviving a false hope."

"Wearing a pseudo smile

You purse your lips.

But you cannot silence

The sound of self."

"Listen

And resonate

With the noisy music

Playing within."

"Embrace your loneliness

And climb the mountains

You always carry."

"Who are you?"

Petrified, she asked.

"I am the subdued tune

Buried deep

In the recesses

Of your heart."

Loudly whispered her soul.
