Lost In Quest
Lost In Quest
In the city of forsaken tranquility
I'm a fogey in the pursuit of serenity
In the city of burgeoning hideous nights
I stare at dark hours which drift so slowly between me and light
In the city which honours demeanour
I'm a nerd who believe in endeavour
In the city where sun drowns behind a colossal building
I love to be lost in the dusk with birds singing
Is this the one in which I was in pursuit of
All around me are the one's who shuffle off
Way of life here is beyond my cognizance
How long do
I withstand this turbulence?
All I can make is a cry of hoarse
Asking to open up the fortune doors
Gifting the city a bundle of smiles
Bridging the hearts which have parted miles
Somewhere beyond should a thought arise
As what we are upto next sunrise
Shred the habit of living a life-disguise
And fly from the clutches of daily despise
With the wind of the dawn making a greet
To begin life fresh and sweet
How long do I spend wishing sleet?
All I conclude-Never the twain shall meet.
