Lockdown Thoughts

Lockdown Thoughts

There came a tiny virus in our way,

Making rich, poor and all of us its prey.

When we have reasons to roam,

Saying it won't come to my home,

Our frontliners constantly stand there to defend,

So our lives don't get to an end.

Together and happy our families sit,

But we never knew a bit,

That there are so many people much badly hit

Birds and animals enjoying their boon,

While stuck like a moth in a cocoon,

Feeling the moon,

Hoping to meet again soon,

I look back on how we made things worse,

And wonder is this a lesson or a curse,

By the mother earth,

Who now demands a rebirth.
