Lightening Life-Diwali
Lightening Life-Diwali
Festival of luminescent lights
Festival of sacrificial offerings
The rich scent of flowers
The panchromatic color of rangoli
Brings radiant smiles
But, an insight will bring tears in your eyes
While we exchange gifts and dress up
The less privileged look towards the sparkling sky
With a hope that someday they will have a diya to lit up
Glass goes down in their throat
With this very thought!
This festive mode is coated in a hazy fog
Kids are always stubborn
But few get matured by the circumstances
While few enjoy the glorious lifestyle
Others cry for a candy
They sleep content by listening to a lullaby
Why can’t we make this festival,
A day to eradicate sufferings and helplessness
We have been taught – its a festival of goodness
Can’t we bring a little joy to them?
Ignite the feeling of humbleness
Burst hatred, sparkle out the kindness
Spend time with your family and friends
This is the delight of the fest
Be someone’s ally
Be the triumph of good over bad
Sparkles of sky cant overcome the sparkle of your eye
That shines bright when you live this fest
With its true essence.
