Journey of 2021,

Was a unique one, 

For it turned life upside down, 

It was an eye-opener to one and all, 

For nobody escaped untouched, 

It embraced the millionaire and the beggar, 

With the same kind of vigour, 

But it also revealed the truth, 

That hid behind every disguise, 

It pushed us one step down, 

Along with the need to slow down, 

It stopped all the unwanted extravagance, 

With the lock of a simple lockdown, 

Though a hard lesson, 

It was necessary for the human race.
