Invisible Chain

These invisible chains that tie us to the desks. 
They make us come voluntarily at our boss's behest. 

We know a lot of boundaries that block our thoughts. 
All those abuses hurled, soon as we leave the office, we think it was for walls. 

Sun comes up and so the birds start chirping.
We get up with a hangover and walk while fumbling. 

Our phones ring but we can't pick them up.
It's not too long before I'll again think of giving up.

Our passions are fumed out and dreams are dead. 
"It's better I have a roof overhead than get wet in the rains instead."

Like that we play safe and soundly we sleep.
If only that was the case, so silently we wouldn't weep. 

Our phones are connected with our computers at home.
But I feel so disconnected with my neighbor who lives next door.

I have a wife and two kids I need to look after.
But I have dedicated half an hour for practicing my craft at home, dimming the lights to make it a bit darker.  

But whenever I touch the instrument and pick it up to have a delightful time.
I suddenly get stricken with the reality, that tomorrow my work's at nine.
