Infinity
Infinity
To the moon and stars that I gaze,
For they tell me the reason behind this happiness,
To the farthest galaxy ever-present,
For it tells me to dream big, bigger than my present merriment,
To the rainy Sunday afternoons filled with the ambiance of unrequited love,
For it tells me to find a companion, to share it with,
To the mild blazing sun, shining on a winter morning,
For it tells me to find that comforting warmth in someone's arms,
So then,
One evening,
I sat in the courtyard,
While the rainbow took up the spaces in the sky,
to think vividly about things that the entire cosmos has been trying to confess.
Who is it for?
For whom does it imply?
And then,
My foolish heart sees an image, a little far away,
The image of yours,
For you have painted my life just as a painter gives life to an empty canvas,
Hence, there it struck me:
The notion of loving you to the moon and never back
Because some infinities are greater than other infinities
For you deserve love even greater than that.
(Oh wait! Did I say that out loud)
