Indian Army And Its Valour
Indian Army And Its Valour
Arms, ammo or bare hands
Terrains, Champaign or barren sands
Dawn to dusk, I hope
Comes a chance, I put up a sacrifice
I lay for her, protecting her edifice
A proud father, an anxious mother
For a child born theirs but taken away
Not by force, but by choice
For filial duties are important but can wait
Motherland is uncompromised, that's my fate
In the bunker, I sat still
A thunderous roar, comes a shell
It bore the list, the names unknown
An in-fight ensued, a martyr in the making
Spirits as strong as ever, body forsaking
Draped in the tricolor, I reached home
Guns still blazing but it's guard of honour
Eulogies abound, discontent still loomed
A bullet more if I could have endured
An enemy more if I cud have sheared
