If Words Had Wings..

On the lonesome night as I begin to write

Fumbling for words to describe my plight

Being spellbound riding on the imagination's flight

As I wonder if words had wings how different it be might

Could it aid in diminishing the fright and stopping the blight?

For the people's agony is unendurable to the sight.
