Abstract

I,The Wall

I,The Wall

I'm the wall

Here I speak

My infancy saw happiness

I grew old to see death and destiny

I've supported a lot of things

Pictures of moments of happiness

A beach vacation, or

somewhere in the mountains

or just goofy smiles

In the beginning, I was all clean and white

A few pins and pictures

As days grew my responsibilities grew high

I started supporting racks and cupboards

having loads of things inside

The TV that sat on the table

now hangs on me

I'm not the same white wall

I've broken a bit but I'm not weak

I see little grow big and then old

and then wither

I see generations come and go by but

I'm still here

The once white wall growing

older and older here

I see a world come in and go by

For here I am

The Wall, I speak

my infancy saw happiness

I grew old to see death and destiny
