How I Spend My Evenings
How I Spend My Evenings
Its rather amusing to see,
how I spend my evening with biscuit and tea.
Sometimes with a cup of hot maggi.
I sit down in the tiny balcony and enjoy the nature.
More so often browse through the TV channels
and be glued to anything and everything.
There are other evenings I spend taking long metro rides
to places that seem way too familiar
yet not enough to be called home.
I spend them waiting for friends at restaurants and bars,
Just to spend money and time and walk out, feeling emptier
than ever,figuratively and actually.
I spend my evening waiting at signals, observing people as the impatient mob
drives home amongst the flashes of speeding cars and bikes,
just waiting for that signal to turn green so far off ahead.
I spend my evenings having meaningful conversations with my mother,
that end up leaving me with thinking material for the subsequent few hours.
I spend my evenings exploring new cities, walking around the galleries
with a map in my hand, ever so rarely but sometimes indeed.
I spend my evenings imagining what I could do with all this time in my hand,
create wonders or stir up new dishes.
its rather amusing to see how after all this
I rather just fall asleep.
