Happy Teachers' Day

Talent, they said,

Was to the best bred,

You were my shepherd,

And your scolding, I heard!

The way you taught,

Was stupendous, I thought,

And your words were firm,

Throughout the term……

Seconds and hours,

You taught like we were going to Mars!

But wait, O Teacher,

I am not a preacher,

I do what I say,

Even if I am at bay,

But to say the truth,

I was uncouth,

You were too good,

I should have known, I should,

But now, here I stand,

Look at me, aren’t I grand,

All thanks to you,

Oh teachers! All thanks to you!!!
