Whether the grains are overflowing

Or not, protests are.

Government's coffers are under flowing

But not their rhetoric on the citizenship Act.

Students' protests are in a state of Pongal

State's and police's action seen as wrongful

Rulers know that this state of affairs will soon abate

They stand and watch by the spread of hate.

Feel all the pain but there is no gain

With the start of 370 story repeats again and again

Gone were the times when the country gave ahimsa

Times have now come when the country demonstrates himsa.
