Goodbye

You brought tears to eyes

When you said goodbye

I had no courage to reply

Except

A mad effort to hold the wheel

Of Time's chariot

I had no way but a wish

To hold the sun

And hide it beneath the cloudy sheet

I wanted to pause moments

But I couldn't hold...

Within sometime

I spent my life 

In your expressive eyes

You remained calm

I never heard anything

But listened to the silence

Speaking through your eyes...

Time was cruel...

It threw me and ran on its pace

I was there crying on the shore

Eyes were not there to be felt

I had left them far.
