Freedom
Freedom

Once there was a beautiful bird trapped in an golden cage
A man was bounded by shackles, some different story on another page
But it had a dream of one day soaring high up in the sky
Freely he wanted to roam on streets without being judged by those glaring eyes
The bird had lost his will and now even had stopped trying
“I guess this is my destiny!” the man said sighing
But then something happened, something which was least expected
The bird saw blue eyes and warm touch by soft palm the man detected
Then the bird heard the sweetest voice, a ray of hope
The enormous iron chains were lying on the floor and the man was free to lope.
“My little bird…” The voice echoed “Don’t you fear!”
The man instantly broke down into tears.
“The time has come, for you to fly higher and higher.”
The man was confused whether to be happy or sad, as he knew he can’t get what he desired.
There were so many things they wanted to do
But both man and bird were unable to move.
The man only desired for respect and freedom
But those were in fact most difficult to be earned
The bird was still in captivation
Voice said to it “The cage is only in your imagination.”
“All you need to do is spread your wings.”
The man later thought “Whatever you do, people will always say something.”
That was the moment when both truly become liberated
Finally the time had come for which they had awaited
The bird broke free and soared towards sky without hesitation
It had reached the final destination
The man walked the streets with utmost pride
He was on top of the world, with goofy smile on his face, he almost cried
It was day of independence, two spirits were set free
Both the man and bird had tasted the intoxicating freedom and now were on a spree
There laid a cold body in the cage while the little bird’s soul was hovering in the air
“So what if I can’t walk, I can fly…” said cripple in the wheel-chair.
