Fragility
Fragility
Fearless fearful,
Fickle Fragile life;
Fretting frightening
Darkening skies-
Rumour has it, it's all about fights
Whilst Losses you triumph
Shine as big diamonds in your crown ;
A crown fashioned from ashes
Of the loved ones you lost,
The close ones you bid adieu,
The far ones who passed.
The close ones betrayed -
The farthest loved -
The lowest that fill you with dread and disgust;
They break you.
They make you.
Shatter the glasses,
Peek through the shards,
Mould with cellotape
Which peels on the ends.
One minute is the happiest day
You are holding his hand,
He is breathing next to you -
The next he's gone
The very essence and pillar of your life -
Just taken away
Unbelievable darkness
Inexistence of fairness
Is what you felt that night.
Machines beep erratically
They blame medications
Some blame the ones in white
I blame myself
For not spending enough time
Like a premonition, death came to me
Will hit so close to home never struck me
Life
So flickery fragile
What hopes
Do I keep?
What dream
Do I see?
When all of it just crashes
How do I be?
