Farewell

Farewells are often hard,

End of an era in the same yard,

Together we have seen all the ups and the downs,

Together we have managed to smile through the frowns.

There is plenty that I need to say,

But I am out of words today,

With this opportunity, may your fortunes touch sky high,

In the hope that we'll meet soon, I for now will say a bye.

Emotions today are on the rise,

Bringing numbness to my eyes,

I've always heard people saying, he's a brother from a different mother,

Only to realize it all along the time while we were together.

With your presence no more around me will certainly leave a void,

It is hard to accept this but somethings are which one cannot avoid,

One constant support I will miss with your presence not around me,

Bidding you farewell but only momentarily.
