Eng Lease of Words

'Eng' has given a new 'lease' of life

Whether I am or my words are worth or smith

I do not bother as long they do not smother

Me by their rain of words

As long I am the king reigning over any subject

And my 'wordict' is not abject.

 

Of the satire I will never tire

Events happen that are quite queer and provide a trigger

Subject matter is such is well within my sphere

Words form a sentence and cheer

I quite agree that I am far from being a Shakespeare.

 

All this is original and I am not a buccaneer

Writing for fun and it is not meant to be my career

Thoughts buzz around until they are very clear

Words then appear and together they cohere.
