Does Flame Ever Seek Light?
Does Flame Ever Seek Light?
Why do you stumble upon stones in the dark,
When you embody the flickering of fireflies,
In the fold of your eyes?
What is this quest that quivers in your voice?
With what thirst your lips turn dry,
When from the cracks of your palms, springs sprout forth,
Beyond this mortal desert when perennial oasis lie?
With what sorrows you smoulder?
What is this poignant yearning that burns you alive,
When rapturous oceans swell deep within you,
When what you seek on the horizon,
In the depths of your unbound Soul it resides?
Why are your arms outstretched seeking alms,
When in your heart are kingdoms of heaven,
When you yourself are the divine and sacred paradise?
