Diwali

Diwali is a festival of light, happiness, and prosperity, 

Spreading the aura of light throughout every city,

You don't have to worry if there's no electricity,

Because that's the power of this festivity,

Called Diwali, wherein you get to buy new clothes.

Irrespective of poor or riches, you forget all the loathes.

By spreading the sweetness via sweets,

and Laughter through peers meets, 

Let's eradicate ignorance within us through the light,

Let's pray to God to do the same with all

And may the divine light spread within us in and out,

By travelling through each and every route,

Taken by the mankind, irrespective of color, creed or caste,

This spiritual journey; let it be gradual, not a haste,

By putting all the internal and external waste,

into a magical bin, that'll burn away all the negativity,

With the positivity that there will be prosperity,

In each nook and corner of the entire universe!
