Descend
Descend
These floors,- wooden
As she walks,- the coldness causes her to tiptoe
She comes across a puddle of water,- she looks down to see
The water,- softening the floor__it grows
Stepping back,- her foot slightly breaks through,
Her eyes widen,- mouth drops as
The floors begin to fall,- fear of the fall
Fill her sight,
A yell from down the hall,- fuels her flight
She moves towards, each step slightly sinking
Into the dampened floors
Around the corner,- stood her spouse in the bathroom
He looks to her,-she looks to him
Suddenly he falls through the floors
She calls out for him,- then
Little cries from behind came about,- door swings open
Revealing her children,- their eyes full of tears
They call out for her
She runs towards them,- the floor breaks
As her fingertips touch her son's,- slowly falling
He falls into her arms,- pulling along his sister
They fall,- gravity pulls them into her chest
Holding them tightly,- she kisses them
In thought,- that they were nearing the end
Her back,- falls into a warm embrace
They were caught,- in the arms of
A familiar face.
