Bring Peace Within...

We keep searching for tranquility

in the midst of the chaos in our minds,

We search for an escape from situations and people

thinking we could feel better but there are no signs,

It's our peace that gets targeted

every moment of our lives,

Yet we still have no solutions,

no clue how to survive,

There are many who would suggest us ways

to do things differently,

But they will never know

what we feel deep inside,

No place we want go to would ever be peaceful unless

we have peace in our hearts and minds,

There is always a constant battle with us,

a constant hesitation to speak our mind,

We write our unspoken pain in pages

thinking it would reduce them for a while,

But it's those very pages that are still wet

from what's written in them,

the pain which does not easily subside,

We seek silence to ease our pain,

But how long would it help us?

if there's a voice that keeps screaming inside,

It's an invisible cage where our peace is imprisoned,

It takes a lot of sacrifice to free it from inside,

But how long are we going to ignore it?

how long is it going to be kept beneath everything else?

how long is it going to stay unhealed inside?

It's a dark space within us that needs light,

it's a space that needs to be freed,

spoken about more often than just kept aside,

It's the part of our soul that makes us whole,

It has always been a part of us that keeps us alive,

So, when our we going to realize it's significance?

Or is it not worth working for,

for just a moment to be ourselves for a while
