"What brings you relief ?", he was asked.
He pondered over that question, what brings me relief?
The blood dripping off his hand when it was slit through by a blade brought him relief.
From taking the blade in his hand to positioning it at the right area to cut, he felt relieved.
He felt relieved and at peace of all the pain and guilt he had been carrying within himself.
The pain of bullying, heartbreak, betrayal and the guilt of not being enough for others.
The blade cannot be considered any near to a friend for others out there, but for him, the blade was his best friend.
Slowly coming out of his trail of thoughts, he replied, "Spending time with my best friend brings me relief."
