Best Friend Forever

Dearest BFF, 

School was fun because of you,

We always did bite more than we could chew;

Scribbling notes to each other during the class,

Nobody, including our teachers, could there trespass!

Stuffing cheese sandwiches hurriedly in the mouth,

Lunch breaks were mainly to scout;

Friends to play with ostensibly in the school grounds,

Though actually where we knew, the place was out of bounds!!

Studies were our forte, no doubt,

But we also did the rules laid down flout;

Teachers were mostly up in arms about us,

But our innocent faces made them forgive us without a fuss!

Charmed by our dimples and smiles,

Many a heart fluttered by our guiles;

But we had no time nor any inclination,

For anyone else, except each other's affection!!
