Smitha Abraham

Abstract

And I Gaze

And I Gaze

As I climbed those green mountains,

Peach blossoms and Gulmohar buds smiled,

Blades of grass sparkled,

Deep in those white, fluffy clouds dwelt little beings in tranquility,

Sunbeams danced in those distant dark woods, where no human could reach.

The streams down there glistened in soul’s delight and heavenly ecstasy,

Breeze gushed, forming curtains,

Mist wafted, lingered and sang, creating an orchestra of music.

The mountains are deserted,

And I can see green moss gleaming in the distance…

As I climbed those green mountains,

I could see flying flocks returning leisurely to the realm of the known,

I could count those delicate pansies happy in a world of their own,

The pansies smiled with no care,

I touched those pansies,

And I gazed at twilight and smiled.
