A Shackled World
A Shackled World
We are now forced to stay indoors, watch
The skies from your window, when once,
We roamed every where with freedom, not
Knowing it's value, we took it for granted.
As now we are confined to the four walls.
Forced and shackled to a life indoors,
Waiting for this lockdown to end to go back
To lives that once was ours to live.
Those days seem so far away now,
Sweet memories of another life, time flying
So fast, it all seems a blur in our life now.

Time seems to be moving on mud wheels.
Time seems to be not moving any more.
Seeing the same faces every hour a bore.
Craving for that moment, when movement,
Will be free, go back to a life that once was
Free, that day is not far away, it can be any day, then I will unshackle my other hand.
One already having been unshackled, and
With my both hands, I will reach for the sky.
Forget about all the days of lockdown.
And be free once again.
