A New Ball

Dear Diary George,

Ball, Oh Ball!

Out to go, jumping on the wall,

You never think before you bang into an octogenarian who is on a stroll,

You are the reason that the little boy doesn't get candy when he is on a visit to a mall,

Bouncing, into the harbour you fall,

Teaching the little boy the testimony of loss by not responding to his call,

You make every kid more careful and sincere, dear ball.

There is another ball with a small diameter,

It has immense power and makes you all stay apart by at least a meter,

It will attack you if you sit in an overcrowded fifty seater,

Go for a test if your body gets hot like a heater,

Unity from the deepest inside and isolation from outside can be its key defeater,

I reckon that a locked-down will be treater,

Be very careful about this little ball which is too small in diameter.

Well, George, you might have easily guessed who is the ball that I mentioned in stanza two. It is surprising that Coronavirus which is so small has the ability to be more life-threatening than the huge volcanoes and the tanks. It's true that we must not judge a book by its cover.
